The impact fused an entire desert into a sheet of living crystal. Over centuries it pulled itself together, fracture by fracture, until Glass could roll.

Glass remembers every time it has shattered and rebuilt. It seeks the Core to discover whether its first shape—the desert itself—can ever return.
